Perhaps we can raise our glasses to Mayor Cook who has said there will be a review of the stormwater fee. He also said the review will take a while. Question: how many more bills will have the current fee? Several car dealers started the uproar that has led to this review, so on that note, thanks, Dick!
Hopefully someone will buy you bridge-crossers this next round. You may have to spend your Dos Equis money elsewhere, friendo. Mayor Cook is also going to try to persuade Mexican officials to revisit the Chamizal Treaty and start charging for the currently free Bridge of the Americas. He says that Mexico could keep 50-70 percent of the revenues to invest in their own infrastructure. Mexicans pay for their own stuff? That will be the day (I kid the Mexicans).
Sure you want to keep buying the good stuff? You might have to downgrade to Natural Light because El Paso’s gas prices set a new record this Friday. Maybe you didn’t need that SUV, huh?
We have no plans to drink with Nick T. Valenzuela. His letter to the El Paso Times asking why “we” don’t elect more Hispanics, particularly in the Sheriff’s race, has resulted in the Times publishing at least 1 letter per day, every day last week, calling out his ignorance & racism. Sit on the other end of the bar, pendejo. I’m going to drink with some non-Hispanics.
Before we run out, maybe East Sider Daniel Fuentes will buy some more with his tax rebate. Hey, we’re just trying to help him out since he doesn’t know what he’ll spend it on.
