“The F— Did Jou Yust Say About My Seester?!”
Big props to Gus over at the Times for this tidbit. So you don’t have to bother clicking the link, somebody used Juarez as a negative reference and some bystanders got offended. The lady compared the scene of her neighborhood near Three Legged Monkey & Wet Ultra Lounge to Juarez: according to Gus the lady “basically said that the noise, trash and drunken behavior have become so bad, that her street is ’starting to look like Juarez.’”
To the people who are offended by this, go clean up Juarez so “looking like Juarez” can become a good thing. “Hey, that new subdivision on the West Side looks like Juarez; I want to move there!” “This new master-planned community is awesome! It looks like Juarez!”
In all fairness, El Paso has its share of messy places, but I will let the commenters name them.
I’d also like to see the residents being terrorized and vandalized by bar patrons take to arms. Shoot those damn kids if they’re on your property and jacking up your irrigation system.
