Reasons to Drink! 5/11-5/17
Sorry about last week, but these gas & food prices are taking a toll. Luckily, my tax rebate stimulus check came in, so let’s go:
Here’s to Lady Miner Izabella Piekarska for making the Sacramento Monarchs’ roster.
Let’s use some block grants to buy the next round because the City’s Department of Community & Human Development has been recognized for its use of block grants.
One for Emma Acosta & one for Naomi Gonzalez, who will be going at it in a runoff for District 3. Nothing beats a good catfight. Let’s duke it out, ladies!
Pour out a bottle of tequila, as Juarez police officials are dropping like flies, both from the face of the Earth and the police force.
El Paso’s public corruption scandal celebrated it’s one-year anniversary, here’s to at least one more year.
Once again, UTEP (or JUTEP to our good friend Rep. Reyes) has been named a top school for Hispanics.
Here’s to you stormwater fee! You escaped another obstacle thanks to a 4-3 vote not to abolish the utility.

That sucks, hopefully she will get picked up by somebody.
I’m wondering why Acosta and Gonzalez are not debating? David K made a point this morning by saying Acosta just doesn’t want to mess with Gonzalez, as she’s a lawyer. Emma, debate it out, stop being a wuss.
