Out and about this weekend
With so much going on this weekend, I thought I’d focus on a few gems.
KLAQ Street Fest is going down Friday and Saturday, Downtown El Paso. You can’t go wrong with either day, whether it be classic rock or modern rock, you will be satisfied. Some of the main acts include Joan Jett, Foghat, Alterbridge, Shinedown, and Endeverafter. I’d also like to point out that there will be 4 stages of music to choose from on each day. El Paso’s own Billy Townes headlines the jazz stage, and on the latin stage Radio La Chusma will put it down. Fireworks cap off each night.

For those not ready to handle the masses, music and wine await you at Zin Valle.

Music under the Stars, Sunday at the Chamizal. This Sunday Sangre Gitana - Rhumba Flamenco Salute to the Gypsy Kings.

Viva El Paso, great show. Now free for military personnel.
Performances are at 8:30 p.m. at McKelligon Canyon Amphitheater every Friday and Saturday through Aug. 2.

I’ve also been wanting to check out Wednesday nights at the State Line. They have live music and this week the band is going to be interesting, they have a song that comes out on the Q frequently. It’s about the devil coming down to Chuco, a Charlie Daniel’s Band remake with a new feel.
